HAND BUILDING STUDIO

Dedualle is dedicated to the art of hand-built ceramics, providing a welcoming space for creativity and craftsmanship. Our studio specializes in hand-building techniques and offers a selection of materials, including silver, copper, and stone ware clay. As a small, community-focused studio, we invite you to join our membership and become part of a supportive network of artists. Our goal is to cultivate a platform where peers can connect, collaborate, and nurture their creative journeys together.

 

Native Spanish and French Speaker On Staff

Studio hours:
12pm to 8pm, Tuesday through Sunday.

Membership includes:
● Open Studio Access
● One-time allotment of 15lbs of clay
● Clay per pound
● Use of all studio tools
● Access to kiln Firing, both bisque and glaze
● Studio glazes, experimental reactive glazes
● Personal shelf storage space
● Discounts to studio classes, the De Duallè store and events

Materials available at the studio:
● Cone 10 Kiln

● Standard stoneware high fire ceramic clay “182 Angel White.” Specialty clays coming in soon.

● Glazes: 18 high fire glaze colors

● Tools :
○ Rolling pins
○ Brushes
○ Clay carving tools
○ Spray bottles

● Copper & Silver Clay for classes

Open studio is $50 for the day

Class structure:
For the time being, we will be offering beginner and intermediate level classes
They will be separated into two categories, Classes and Workshops

Classes:
4-week classes that are classified as either beginner or intermediate; they will have a theme such as :

  • Coil Building

  • Slab Building

  • Building vessels

  • Sculptural handbuilding

Range from $175-$200

Workshops:
lasting two sessions = two weeks; the first week will consist of the construction, and the second week will be dedicated to glazing the bisqueware

Slab Built Mugs
Silver Clay rings with heatproof gemstones
Drip coffee maker, with matching mug
Berry Bowl
Flower frogs
Napkin/sponge holder
Trinket dish
Dog+ Cat, food and water dishes

Divided Snacking Plates
Salt Cellar with spoon

With room for certain exceptions pertaining to the materials being used, range $75-$100

Classes will include all materials needed to complete the projects, including Clay, tools, Glaze
